Katarzyna Balcerkiewicz

Hello, my name is Katarzyna Balcerkiewicz. In thinking about people management I have always been accompanied by wise and practical psychological knowledge. I am fascinated by translating the discoveries of psychology into action in business. In my family, I represent the third generation of psychologists. Both entrepreneurship and psychology have always been with me. For as long as I can remember, I have been involved with family businesses. I have been involved in my parents' and my in-laws' business life since the political changes in Poland. I have memories of the beginning of their business, the various difficulties, the first people employed and the professionalisation and growth of the organisational structure to over 300 people. With such a track record, the decision to open my own company was a natural one for me.
Today, I have been running my training and consultancy company The Encounter Group for over 20 years. As a consultant and coach, I help people managers understand the psychological context of their current business situation. With my constantly expanding knowledge and proven tools, I educate on how to manage złożone interpersonal situations and build loyal and effective teams. In 2007, together with Joanna Gosk, co-founder of the Meeting Group, we created the first Transactional Analysis School in Poland. With the whole team, we have conducted over 43 editions, teaching how to use Transactional Analysis (AT) in business. Our graduates graduate from the school with an internationally recognised 101 Certificate. For many years, I have also been educating a new generation of trainers, conducting 16 editions of our original Train the Trainer Study. The fruits of this project are original tools to support the construction and delivery of training. Out of a need to share my knowledge of Transactional Analysis in organisations and my personal experience in management, I launched my latest HR Master project. It is a unique in Poland training and coaching venture for HR managers and HR directors.
In my training and consultancy practice I always emphasise:
- increasing work efficiency,
- transforming ideas into realised goals,
- use of different tools in management in an OK-OK position.
I make it a pleasure for owners, managers and employees to come to the company and the results of their actions translate into more favourable financial results. One day, if we meet, I hope to exchange our management experiences - you are welcome!
