Connecting employees to a vision is not an HR fad, but a psychological lever that builds a cohesive organisational culture
Many companies look for market advantages in marketing, sales or technology. In reality, you don't have to look that far. Simply focus on building an engaged team that is united around a meaningful mission. Gallup research shows that companies with engaged employees report up to 21% higher profitability and 17% higher productivity. In contrast, BAIN & COMPANY reports that companies with engaged teams grow revenues up to 2.5 times faster than those with low engagement. Uniting employees with a mission thus becomes a catalyst for business results.
Even when managers know that a mission statement can unite employees and directly impact KPIs, it is often faced with a high wall that prevents the mission statement from being implemented. The wall is built of three bricks - either the mission statement is ill-defined or incomplete, or it is incorrectly communicated, or it has been created in isolation from the employees' perspective and is therefore difficult for them to understand. Every barrier can be jumped over. How to do so will be discussed during the webinar.
The manager comes with a general direction ('Mission A') and says where he wants the company doszła in 2 years' time. The team is supposed to fill this direction with steps and tools ('Mission B'). This is a framework scenario that does not always materialise. Staff may not have the resources to do Mission B. This is where the dialogue should come in. The manager's job is not only to actively listen, but also to observe and wait for subtle signals. During the meeting you will learn which signs should turn on the yellow light.
