What is training 101:

Programme

This is a 12-hour training where you will learn about the principles of communication, limiting beliefs and mechanisms that affect relationships between people, among other things, and understand why people behave in certain ways.

Practice

During the training, you have the opportunity to apply the knowledge you have learned from AT to your personal and professional life in a practical way.

We are one of the first teams in Poland applying transactional analysis solutions in organisations. Since 2007, we have been continuously training, developing companies and people based on the knowledge and tools flowing from this concept.

What is Transactional Analysis?

Transactional analysis is a complete conception of czł people's personality. As one of the few currents in psychology, it has successfully transferred psychological theory into practical application in four areas: organisations, psychotherapy, counselling and education. Training 101 is the basic training in AT. Its models are easy to understand and apply in professional and personal contexts because of its simple language, diagrams and illustrations. This two-day training culminates in an EATA or ITAA-signed 101 certificate and provides an excellent basis for advancing your AT knowledge to higher levels.

I am a psychologist, the only certified transactional analyst in Poland and an AT teacher and supervisor in the field of organisation in contract with EATA (PTSTA-O), training instructor 101.

I co-founded the first School of Transactional Analysis in Poland, which today has reached its 43rd edition.

I am a member of the European Society of Transactional Analysis and the Polish Psychological Society. I am a recommended Level I trainer of the Polish Psychological Association. I have been teaching AT to others for 13 years. I have conducted 14 editions of the AT School and Academy.

I use AT in my coaching and team coaching work with managers, intervening in organisations, designing a change process with clients, in my work as a coach, Team Coach and agile coach.

I am an educationalist by training. Since 2013 I have been involved in psychological and pedagogical counselling. On a daily basis, I provide diagnosis and therapy for children, adolescents and adults, as well as support to educational institutions. I searched and pondered for a long time to choose a training path that would allow me to better help clients cope with difficult situations, to better understand the perspective of the other czł person. I came across Transactional Analysis at one of my personal development trainings. At that time I decided to take a closer look at it. At that time, I was not yet convinced to take up the study of this stream. At the end of March, I attended a 101 training on Transactional Analysis organised by the Encounter Group. The knowledge we were given during the training and the way it was conducted made me fascinated by AT. The training demonstrated what Eric Berne wrote about in Good Morning and What's Next: "transactional analysis is an intricate maze of interconnected and coherent concepts that you can navigate in any direction, always encountering something interesting and useful. When choosing Certified Training 101 at the Encounter Group, I had my doubts about whether it would be for me. I am not connected to the business world, and from the information I foundzłhere on the website, it seemed that the Meeting Group is primarily concerned with the application of Transactional Analysis Transactional Analysis in business, working with teams and managers. I am glad that I decided to attend the two-day 101 AT training course. When I signed up, I hoped that the workshop would help me to systematise my knowledge and to find out how I could use transactional analysis and whether I wanted to expand my knowledge in this area in przyszłości. The training organised by the Encounter Group is structured in such a way that each thematic block is combined with sub-group exercises. The dynamics of the classes means that, in a relatively short period of time, we receive a solid package of introductory information on the subject of AT. Thanks to the workshop character, I had the opportunity to apply the newly acquired knowledge to my own life. A very interesting experience. I recommend the training to people who would like to learn about transactional analysis, get to know tools for diagnosing situations in private and professional life, as well as mechanisms triggering certain types of behaviour. Before I decided to take the 101 AT course at the Encounter Group, I thought that the books and articles I had previously read would be sufficient to fully understand and put the knowledge into practice. Already during the first module of the training I realised how wrong I was. The 101 training I had the pleasure of attending met my expectations in every aspect. Already with the first invitation describing the organisation of the course I recognised, that I was dealing with an extremely professionally prepared training programme, an understandable and logical workshop structure, I could expect highly expert knowledge and a friendly attitude from the presenters. The training leader, Alex Piotrowska proved to be an extremely empathetic and kind person with extremely substantive AT expertise. The description of the methods and individual theories of AT, which she presented during the training, was interestingly supported by relevant real-life examples, which strongly coloured the presented content and at the same time linked theory and practice further grounding the knowledge in the memory. It is also valuable to compliment the training materials we received as participants. They are extremely "capacious" in content going beyond that which can be obtained from websites. The interesting graphics and additional exercise files were an excellent addition to the training. I highly recommend the 101 course at the Encounter Group to all those who want a more complete and up-to-date understanding of AT, in the era of the second decade of the 20th century. They can be assured, that although the structure of the training is based on introductory and fixed content, at the same time the training at Alex's contains many new and complementary narratives resulting from the continuous developments in AT around the world.

I took part in the training as an individual. Will I be able to use the knowledge I gained in the professional area (education) ? I do not know yet. I would like to. But the personal motive was strong enough. I came across AT recently at another workshop. The AT personality model was presented and the basic transactions. Almost immediately it helped me to understand the reasons behind the complexity of two personal relationships, which in effect freed me from internal tension and helped to improve these relationships. I knew what I had to do. And that was the moment when the fascination of the AT path emerged. I decided to give it a try. The classes with Alexandra Piotrowska encouraged me even more to continue on this path. I am already after another training, this time a few hours long. And I am being drawn into AT more and more. The training with Alexandra combined a very large dose of basic knowledge with a very friendly, light atmosphere of an almost social meeting. The interactive form allowed for ongoing questions and knowledgeable answers. Berne's iconic reading "What people play" was not easy for me to get through due to the large number of mental abbreviations, and perhaps not a very fortuitous translation? Training 101 definitely introduced me better to the world of AT. It also helped me to name my basic life scripts. Of course, with the help of my self-reflection after the class, but I was equipped enough to already know which tracks to follow. Highly recommended.

The 101 training course organised by the Encounter Group was recommended to me by a friend who has been involved in Transactional Analysis (AT) at university level for many years. I was looking for a course that would synthesise my understanding of AT, its possibilities and suggest how to direct further research towards this method. I have been fascinated by Transactional Analysis for a long time, especially the communication aspect. Up to now, I have explored the knowledge by following the available literature on my own, which has been extremely inspiring, but it has always been an educational struggle lacking depth of experience. And I was only able to discover this depth during the training. I regret one thing - that I decided so late to participate! The vast amount of knowledge, experience, exercises, guidance and clarification on the issues that concern me is invaluable and a starting point for further research. Thanks to the great professionalism, empathy and high personal culture of the trainer, I felt safe and comfortable during the training, for which I am extremely grateful. The training was conducted with great care and attention to the needs of the participants. I highly recommend the Encounter Group and the 101 training - I am convinced that it was an excellent choice, for me personally one of the milestones on the way to knowing myself. And I intend to continue my journey into the Self, reaffirmed that with the help of this very tool - Transactional Analysis. An intense rollercoaster ride - that's what I expected when I signed up for the AT 101 certified training - and that's what I got. However, I signed up for the Transactional Analysis course primarily in terms of expanding my self-awareness, as well as my coaching workshop. AT taught me very quickly how to make all people okay, and how to become the best version of myself, which will make the whole team function better. However, when approaching a client individually, I am keen to help them work with their negative beliefs and guide them to tap into the 'here and now' resources that are relevant to the situation, which will allow them to achieve the best results for them. I would also like to thank the organisers of the Encounter Group course and the 101 facilitator, Alex Piotrowska, for the knowledge given in a very accessible and substantive way. And to put it in simpler language, for - having fun together with the group - pure fun.

In my search for a new path of development that would guide me more systemically and less in terms of points, I came across transactional analysis. Above all, I wanted psychological knowledge that would help me work better, help others, make better decisions and understand myself better. Throughout the HR Master project, I got much more than that. Although I am not a psychologist, I found the constructs of AT easy to understand, interesting and above all useful. What was the content of the training is very businesslike and strongly useful when working with an organisation, not just an individual. Thanks to the concrete tools, I see certain situations more broadly and can view them from different perspectives. The added value was a fantastic group of HR women where we exchanged thoughts and experiences. One of the key tools I learned about was contracting. For me, taking care of the contract at every level of work is extremely revealing. I can see how the organisation I'm in is changing by starting to pay more attention to it. I have also found the knowledge associated with Susan Fowler's incentive system concept particularly useful. Three elements that distinguish the HR Master classes, which I have not encountered before and which give very high value, are firstly the regularity of the meetings (once a month) and each time it is two days of very intensive work, filled with knowledge, experience, reflection. Each module is linked to the next one despite the fact that they talk about something different and this very much systematises the knowledge. Secondly, at each meeting, thanks to the coaching work, we train the skills acquired at the previous conventions. Thirdly, the coaches ask what we have done in terms of AT since the previous meeting. I decided to learn transactional analysis with the Encounter Group thanks to recommendations from other people satisfied with the processes it runs. From my point of view, it was crucial to ensure that the planned goals were achieved, but also that the people who participate in these processes were happy and satisfied. For me, transactional analysis is like an onion. As you peel back the layers from the outside, you find that there are other layers underneath that are worth exploring and that we can have a real impact on. I finish with saturation, but also with openness and curiosity about what more transactional analysis will offer me.

I am a marketer and business coach by day. In my work it is crucial to understand people and the processes that take place in a group. Training 101 was one of the few training sessions that allows me to deepen my understanding of the group process, but also to understand the behaviour of individuals in the environment. Is the training in a workshop format or is it mainly theory?

Yes, it active workshop training. We work a lot in interaction - we analyse examples, practice recognising states of the Self and types of transactions, and theory is intertwined with practice.

I don't have a lot of experience working online, can I cope?

We have a thoughtful process for teaching Participants how to use the Zoom platform. We help with the first login before the training, checking that everything works with the participant before we start. In workshops, you will always receive thorough instruction before exercises that require you to move into virtual rooms. If you don't have much experience, we will help you to learn online effectively and in comfort.

Does the training end with a certificate?

Yes. You will receive a certificate signed by the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) electronically upon completion of the training, as well as in hard copy once you have indicated your mailing address.

Will there be a recording of the training?

We do not record open training courses, as we work in a workshop format and our classes are subject to confidentiality. If, on the other hand, you want to refresh the content of a particular module or recall a passage after some time, you can purchase access to recorded webinars or the AT Online Video Course, which has 62 lessons on a VOD platform with the entire theoretical part from AT that is discussed and practised within the School.

How do I make a payment?

Payment can be made through the online shop, to which you will be redirected from this page. Payment by PayPal or Pay'U is possible. If you encounter any difficulties along the way, please contact us and we will find a joint solution.

Is there any possibility of withdrawal?

Yes, you have the possibility to withdraw at least 10 days before the scheduled training. Contact us about this by phone or email.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, of course, we confirm every payment with a fv.

At what times does training 101 take place?

Training 101 usually takes place between 9:00 and 16:30 each day. The hours may shift slightly (+/- 30 minutes), which we will let you know about in the training invitation, sent a few days before the training.
